Mini Composition Notebook Turned Gift Card Holder

I've posted about altering these little books before. With the holidays threatening coming soon, I had an idea to tweak them further.

Pretty nice, right? Here's the little addition...

Why yes, I'd love some coffee!  Of course I will be making these for my craft show, wouldn't they be terrific teacher gifts?

 On the subject of teachers (kind of), the cute vintage alphabet is from The Graphics Fairy.  I printed it onto white card stock. I also trimmed some heavy weight red card stock to cover the book, and used scrapbook tape to secure it.

The library pocket on the inside, was a template included in my Silhouette's software.  I sized it to fit both a gift card, and the inside cover.  It is also taped to the inside of the book.

Yes, I lined the inside of the covers with fun paper--it makes it more festive. 

Why not give a gift card in a holder that will be practical afterwards? Plus, the little pocket can hang onto receipts.. It's always handy to keep a little notebook in a bag, don't you think?
