You may have recently seen some great bloggers talking about Martha Stewart's new paint line. I love to try out some new crafty stuff, so I took my trusty 50% off coupon and treated myself to some new colors.
Wait Christine. What is this ombre thing you speak of? The definition I found read shaded or graduated in tone: said of a color.
It's also a huge trend all over the blogs, and Pinterest.
It's a trend that I can totally get behind.
Say hello to my new favorite coffee mug! Hi.
I don't have a before picture because...well, none of them were any good. Actually, they were horrible.
I basically started with two colors within the same color family--one dark and one super light. I started at the bottom with the darkest color, and mixed those two colors together to get the two middle colors. The top color pictured, is the lightest color by itself. But all together, I only used two colors!
I can't wait to finally use this mug tomorrow morning...
Stay tuned, I have more ombre coming soon!
